India and South Africa recently played a T20 series as a part of their preparation & they are back again playing against each other. But, there is a lot at stake for this encounter with a chance for one of them to get their first win on the board and kickstart their campaign in the right direction.

VENUE – Willowmoore Park, Benoni | TIME – 13:45 local/17:15 IST

This game will see the 2nd use of the deck at Willowmoore Park after the game between Australia & Bangladesh. There will be a slight deterioration, but nothing major to affect the true nature of the pitch.

SOUTH AFRICA: The hosts enter the tournament with their confidence being very low. They lost 4-0 to India in the T20 series recently and lost both of their warm-up games.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR -

Seshnie Naidu: Tthe wrist spinner has had enough game time against the Indian batters to know what lines and lengths are to be bowled. She is one of the best wrist spinners on show in this tournament and would also be looking to operate from round the wicket to a few of the Indian RHBs.

Kayla Reyneke: The off-spin all-rounder is crucial. She bowls really well and gets the ball to turn with her slowish pace. In a game where South Africa were defeated neck and crop by Australia, Reyneke was a shining light. The RHB would also be looking to score some runs with her clean leg-side slogging.

Karabo Meso: Another impressive batter in this South African side is Karabo Meso who is a quick runner between the wickets and looks to be busy against the spinners.

INDIA: India won the preparatory series by a margin of 4-0 and would know what exactly needs to be done to defeat South Africa again. However, they will need to lift themselves up after suffering a loss against Bangladesh in their 2nd warm-up game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR -

Titas Sadhu: The new ball pace of Titas is bound to provide India with early breakthroughs.  She is generally on point with her line and length and does not give away many runs.

Richa Ghosh: The Indian wicket-keeper is the x-factor player in this side & knows how to clear the ropes with ease. While she has been missing out lately, it shouldn't be long before she gets going again.

Mannat Kashyap: The left-arm spinner would be relishing the opportunity to bowl to a team flocked with RHBs. Kashyap has a great action and bowls at the right pace to challenge the batters.

BATTLE TO WATCH OUT FOR -

1) Indian left-arm spinners v. South African batters - South Africa has RHBs and plenty of them. This will open up the door for Sonam Yadav and Mannat Kashyap to do some damage.
