West Indies pulled off a win in the 2nd ODI which was decided by a Super Over. South Africa face a must-win situation as they trail 1-0 with 2 games to go.

VENUE: Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg

Both the games have played exactly as anticipated. If the weather remains fair, 220+ is a very likely score.

HEAD-TO-HEAD (Last 5 games)

South Africa - 2 | West Indies – 2 | NR - 1

PROBABLE XIs:

South Africa: Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, Sune Luus (C), Mignon du Preez, Chloe Tryon, Marizanne Kapp/Nadine de Klerk, Trisha Chetty (WK), Ayabonga Khaka, Tumi Sekhukhune, Shabnim Ismail, Nonkululeko Mlaba

West Indies: Deandra Dottin, Rashada Williams. Kycia Knight, Stafanie Taylor (C), Hayley Matthews, Shemaine Campbelle (WK), Chedean Nation, Chinelle Henry, Shakera Selman, Shamilia Connell, Karishma Ramharack/Anisa Mohammed

MUST-HAVES:

  • A must-win game should force changes in the South African line-up and the big gun in Marizanne Kapp might be called back if she has recoevered from her shoulder niggle. She could also be joined in by Nadine de Klerk and both these players shall be in your team if they play.
  • Sune Luus has played a vital role as expected and will continue to do so moving ahead. Her role is very similar to that of Hayley Matthews.
  • Laura Wolvaardt has struggled a touch, but you can’t leave her out no matter what.
  • Back experience. Pick Mignon du Preez.
  • Karishma Ramharack has been very impressive with her off-spin. There is a chance that Anisa Mohammed might be back for this game.
  • Ayabonga Khaka will be high on confidence.
  • Deandra Dottin is back. She is confident and one can see that. That fierce striking and the confidence to hit the big shots very early in the game speak volumes. Can avoid Dottin if Kapp plays. While it’s risky, it might benefit massively.
  • Out of the two keepers, Shemaine Campbelle shall be preferred.

AVOID:

  • Chloe Tryon has had a downward spiral in form for a while now.

X-FACTORS:

  • Shamilia Connell can prove really handy if West Indies are bowling first.
C/VC CHOICES:

Sune Luus, Hayley Matthews, Deandra Dottin, Laura Wolvaardt
